What to Expect When you book with chloe
1. Getting to Know You & Your Animal
Chloe starts by listening - learning about your animal’s history, current health, performance goals, and any concerns you may have. From the very start, you’ll feel heard, understood, and supported.
2. Hands-On Physical Assessment
A thorough examination follows, including palpation to identify areas of pain or tension, assessment of joint function and muscle condition, and evaluation of mobility, strength, and posture.
3. Movement & Gait Evaluation
Chloe observes your animal in motion - walking, trotting, and, where appropriate, lunging or ridden work - to assess symmetry, biomechanics, and spot early signs of imbalance or discomfort. Where beneficial, this may include video analysis or the use of SLEIP Gait Analysis, a cutting-edge AI gait tool used by veterinary professionals.
4. Tailored Treatment Plan
Using these insights, Chloe creates a bespoke physiotherapy program - which may include massage, stretching, mobilisation, INDIBA, electrotherapy, and/or targeted home exercises - tailored to your animal’s unique needs.
5. Empowering You at Home
You’ll receive clear guidance, demonstrations, and tips to support recovery between sessions. Chloe uses EQUIGATE to record her findings and provides video demonstrations of recommended exercises, so you can revisit them anytime. Reports are accessible via email or your Equigate login and can be shared with your vet, farrier, dentist, or anyone else involved in your animal’s care.
6. Compassionate, Professional Care
Every session is delivered with empathy, expertise, and attention to detail, ensuring your animal receives the highest standard of care in a supportive and professional environment.
Important Information About Appointments and Fees
At Cotswold Equine Physio, we strive to provide flexible and transparent services to ensure the best care for your animals. Please review the following guidelines regarding our appointment policies, pricing, and travel charges.
Initial Assessment Policy:
Reassessment as Initial Appointment: If your animal has not been seen by Chloe in the past 6 months, the appointment will be treated as an initial assessment. This ensures a thorough and updated evaluation of your pet’s condition.
Travel Charges:
Inclusive Travel: Prices include travel within a 20-mile radius of Northleach (GL54) and/or Gloucester (GL3).
Additional Travel Fees: For locations beyond a 20-mile radius, additional travel/mileage charges will apply. Please contact us for specific rates.
Discounts:
Multiple Animal Bookings: Discounts may be available for multiple animals booked at the same location. This offers convenience and cost savings for owners with several pets requiring physiotherapy.
Assessment and Treatment Policy:
Referral to Vet: If during the initial assessment it is determined that physiotherapy is not appropriate and your animal is referred to your veterinarian, the initial assessment fee may be reduced to a call-out fee of £35. This reduction is at Chloe’s discretion, based on the specifics of the assessment.
Cancellation Policy:
Emergency Considerations: While we understand that emergencies can occur, appointments canceled within 24 hours will be subject to a £50 cancellation fee. This policy helps us manage our schedule and accommodate other clients.
